You know, they have some of that crap worded so poorly that it's too confusing to even try to figure it out.

Bryan, I am sure you intend to send comments in.  What do you think you will focus on?

I think anyone who reads these documents and doesn't take the time comment should never again complain about how unfair child support is.

Agreed.  I just read them today because I have Qwest DSL, which as everyone knows is under water.  I will comment on them later this weekend or the first part of next week and send in.  I'll post my comments at that time except to say that I find it interesting that they do not want to implement the new guidelines until July 1, 2009.

God I am afraid to even look. I will look at them when I have more time to weed through the legal jargon.

I have a PDF copy of the new child support guidlines as of July 1st 2009 on my computer if anyone needs them let me know. For any of you who have read them I have to ask, am I the only one who got dizzy reading them? I am not sure that the medical insurance proration/addition makes sense or not.

Also, I've posted this question in another place, but does the term "medical coverage" as stated in a decree, include "dental"?
And an "fyi" - after speaking with local CSRU, they say that even "they" are unable to compile an exact dollar amount and that all the paperwork is sent to another place(?) to be done and then they receive the final answer.

I believe, depending on the type of dental treatment being requested, it can be considered an elective procedure.

Every 4 years the Child Support Guidelines are to be reviewed and updated.  2012 was the most current revisions and there are some substantial changes.  I have attached links below to the new guidelines.

The new guidelines went into effect July 1, 2013

Read the 2012 Iowa Child Support Guidelines Review Committee final report used in the court’s review.

Review the changes to Chapter 9 of the Iowa Court Rules, effective July 1, 2013, including new child support tables, grids, schedules, and worksheets.

The 2008 Chapter 9 rules and worksheets listed below are effective through June 30, 2013.

Rules, Medical Support Table, Adjusted Net Monthly Income Computation, Basic Method of Child Support Computation, Joint Physical Care Method of Chlld Support Computation, (Chapter 9)

      Worksheets

      Schedule of Basic Support Obligations
